About Andy's

Andy's Bar & Restaurant is a family run multi-award winning establishment in Monaghan town.

Andy’s has been run by the Redmond family for over twenty-nine years . Ciaran along with eldest son Sean use only the finest locally sourced ingredients cooked simply with an innovative twist. Youngest son Kevin runs the ground floor Bar whilst daughter Aisling manages the Restaurant.

As travel web site GoIreland.com recently described Andy’s in their travel review: “Probably the most consistently awarded food & drinks emporium in Ireland”. Andy's has consistently won awards for all aspects of business including: food, hygiene, bar and most recently in the area of environmental best practice.

In 2008, Andy's was awarded the Jacobs Creek Ulster Gastro pub of the year. This year Andy's was named finalists in the Hotel & Catering Review - Gold Medal Awards - Casual Dining Section. We received a commendation for the judging panel at the prestigious 2009 Sustainable Energy Ireland National Awards. In 2010 we were further recognised for our work in "greening" our business by reaching the finals of the Green Awards in to categories Sean Redmond finalist in the Green Leader Category whilst Andy's was a finalist in the Leisure & Entertainment section. Andy's was also involved in the production of a short Environmental Protection Agency EPA video to be used for training within the food sector. In 2012 Andy's was yet again awarded the Co. Monaghan Gastro Pub of the Year.
